The Sansglu take
The place
A counter-service bakery in Paradise Valley Village that has operated wheat- and gluten-free since 2003, long before most of the Valley's gluten-free scene existed. Order ahead online or walk in for grab-and-go; much of the case is packaged to travel, and a freezer case makes it easy to stock up.
The gluten-free setup
The bakery states plainly that its facility is dedicated wheat- and gluten-free and has been since 2003. Every item is built gluten-free from the start, and packaged goods carry ingredient labels, a real help for diners managing more than one sensitivity.
What to order
The menu lists everything bagels, maple walnut scones, and snickerdoodle cookies as house staples. Look for the seeded everything bagel first; it anchors the bread lineup.
The move
It closes Sunday and Monday and runs 9 to 5 Tuesday through Friday, 9 to 3 Saturday, so plan a weekday or Saturday morning. Call 602-626-7458 if you want a specific bake held.
