The Sansglu take
The place
A husband-and-wife food truck, one owner from Venezuela and one from Mexico, feeding downtown DC since 2014. The usual spot is 7th and Maryland Avenue SW by the L'Enfant Plaza Metro stairs, but the truck moves and posts each day's location.
The gluten-free setup
The whole menu is gluten-free and corn-based: arepas, cachapas, tamales, tacos, empanadas. Available reports describe the truck as a dedicated gluten-free environment, and the owners bill the menu as 100% gluten-free.
What to order
The menu lists arepas, cachapas, and a pabellon plate that reviewers single out. Cachapas, sweet corn pancakes folded over cheese, are the Venezuelan signature.
The move
Don't drive to a fixed address. Check the truck's social pages the morning you go; weekday lunch service typically runs late morning to early afternoon.
