The Sansglu take

The place

A brick-walled smash burger counter on Calle de Viriato in Chamberí. The chain has grown across Madrid, but this location was built from scratch to run without gluten.

The gluten-free setup

This branch operates fully gluten-free: nothing containing gluten comes into the kitchen, so patties, buns and fryer stay GF-only. The chain's other Madrid branches are not gluten-free; make sure you're at Viriato 68.

What to order

La Clásica, double smashed aged-beef patties with cheese, onion and pickles on a gluten-free brioche bun. The menu lists fries from the all-GF kitchen and combo formats with a drink.

The move

Split hours, roughly 13:00 to 16:00 and 20:00 to 23:00. There's no phone, so order ahead on a delivery app or show up at opening; the counter is small.
