The Sansglu take
The place
Dedicated gluten-free bakery doing French pastries and café basics. Separate kitchen end-to-end, which means the entire operation runs GF-only.
The gluten-free setup
Fully gluten-free kitchen with separate prep and dedicated fryer. Staff trained on celiac protocols throughout the operation.
What to order
French bakery done entirely gluten-free: croissants, a proper chocolate tart, quiche, and a sit-down brunch. The chocolate tart and the bagels are the standouts.
The move
Noglu started in Paris and brought its 100% gluten-free French baking to the Upper East Side, a bi-level café where the whole case and kitchen are gluten-free. About a third of the menu is dairy-free too. It's the rare spot where a celiac can order a croissant from a dedicated bakery.
