The Best Gluten-Free Spots in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (2026)

Short answer: in Williamsburg and Greenpoint the whole-menu gluten-free options are Impact Kitchen on Driggs, Springbone and Sushi Counter on Bedford, Nami Nori on North 12th, Align Coffee in South Williamsburg, and Uzuki up in Greenpoint. That list is shorter than the neighborhood's reputation suggests. Two spots that celiac directories still label dedicated, Kimbap Lab and Birria-Landia, are ruled out by their own websites, and two more closed. We say for each spot below whether the kitchen claim comes from the business itself or only from the people who list it.

Checked by Sansglu

We read each business's own site, menu, and social accounts on September 16, 2026, and we say which claims we could not source first-hand. Only Impact Kitchen publishes a facility-level gluten-free statement. The rest publish a fully gluten-free menu without describing their kitchen setup, so call ahead if you react to trace amounts. Sit-down restaurants

Nami Nori Williamsburg, Williamsburg Safety 951

1. Nami Nori Williamsburg

236 N 12th St · Williamsburg
100% gluten-free kitchen

Open-style temaki is the whole point, so build a set around the salmon and the yellowtail and let them come out one at a time. The fried appetizers and the churros are the tell that this is a gluten-free menu rather than a menu with gluten-free options on it.

A founding chef has celiac disease, and the menu runs gluten-free right through the tempura and dessert. Nami Nori does not publish a kitchen or allergen statement on its own site, so the fully gluten-free description comes from celiac writers who have eaten there rather than from the restaurant. Worth confirming when you book.

Impact Kitchen, Williamsburg Safety 922

2. Impact Kitchen

524 Driggs Ave · Williamsburg
100% gluten-free kitchen

The breakfast bagel sandwich is the one to get, because a gluten-free bagel that holds together is rare. Otherwise the smoked salmon and scrambled egg bowl, or avocado toast that arrives on bread you can pick up.

This is the only spot on the list where the business itself makes a kitchen-level claim. Impact Kitchen states that it is a gluten-free kitchen and carries 100% gluten free across its own site, so you can order off the full menu without a conversation. Open daily until 9pm, which makes it the reliable late option here.

Springbone Kitchen, Williamsburg Safety 953

3. Springbone Kitchen

277 Bedford Ave · Williamsburg

Build a bowl on the bone broth rice, or order Grandma's Chicken and Rice when it is cold out. The salmon bowl travels well if you are walking it down to the waterfront.

Springbone runs one rule across every location: no seed oils, no refined sugar, no gluten, ever. Read it for what it is, an ingredient rule rather than a published cross-contact protocol, because the company does not describe its kitchen setup anywhere on its site. It is a fast counter at lunch, so say celiac when you order. The dressings use cashews.

Sushi Counter, Williamsburg Safety 904

4. Sushi Counter

219 Bedford Ave · Williamsburg
100% gluten-free kitchen

Rolls wrapped to walk with, which is the point on Bedford. The tempura shrimp roll is the one worth the detour, since fried and gluten-free rarely appear on the same counter.

The owner has celiac disease and the menu is gluten-free down to the soy sauce, which is where most sushi quietly goes wrong. One caveat we will not paper over: the brand site no longer resolves and forwards to a delivery listing instead, so there is no current first-party page describing the setup. Ask at the counter.

Gluten-free in New York, answered

Are there gluten-free restaurants in Williamsburg, Brooklyn?

Yes, six that serve a fully gluten-free menu. Impact Kitchen on Driggs Avenue, Springbone and Sushi Counter on Bedford Avenue, Nami Nori on North 12th Street, Align Coffee in South Williamsburg, and Uzuki just over the line in Greenpoint. Impact Kitchen is the only one that publishes a kitchen-level gluten-free statement of its own.

Is there a dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Williamsburg?

Impact Kitchen at 524 Driggs Avenue is the clearest case, because the business states that it runs a gluten-free kitchen rather than a gluten-free menu. The other five serve entirely gluten-free menus but do not describe their facilities publicly, so we list what each one claims instead of calling them all dedicated.

Is Kimbap Lab gluten-free?

The menu is, but the facility is not, and that distinction matters for celiac disease. Kimbap Lab says on its own gluten-free page that it shares a commissary kitchen where gluten and gluten-free food are both prepared, and that it cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free environment. The Bedford Avenue counter also sits inside Whole Foods next to a pizza station. Some directories still list it as dedicated, which contradicts the operator.

Is Birria-Landia gluten-free?

No, despite a widely repeated claim that it uses only corn tortillas. The Birria-Landia menu offers flour tortillas on the birria, chorizo, and asada tacos, on all three mulitas, and on the quesabirria, plus a burrito on a flour tortilla. The company also says its locations do not carry a gluten-free certification. You can order corn, but the truck is not a gluten-free setup.

Is there gluten-free sushi in Williamsburg?

Yes, at two places with different formats. Nami Nori on North 12th Street is the sit-down choice for open-style hand rolls, with a menu that runs gluten-free through the fried items. Sushi Counter at 219 Bedford Avenue is the takeaway choice, with rolls and gluten-free soy sauce. Ordinary sushi hides gluten in soy sauce, eel sauce, imitation crab, and tempura crumbs, which is why the list is short.

Is soba gluten-free at Uzuki in Greenpoint?

Uzuki builds on 100% buckwheat noodles, which is unusual because most soba sold in restaurants is cut with wheat flour. Its Instagram bio describes it as a specialty gluten-free soba shop. The website itself carries no allergen or kitchen statement, so confirm the current setup when you reserve.

What happened to 7 Grain Army and Little Choc Apothecary?

Both are gone. 7 Grain Army, the gluten-free bakeshop at 88 Roebling Street, closed in late October 2024 after a landlord eviction. Little Choc Apothecary, the vegan creperie at 141 Havemeyer Street, closed in September 2023, and Lella Alimentari took the space. Listings that still show either one as open are stale.

What does whole-menu gluten-free mean in this guide?

It means every food item the business sells is gluten-free, so there is no wheat dish being plated beside yours. It is a lower bar than a published dedicated-facility protocol, and we say per spot which of the two the evidence supports. A gluten-free menu section inside a kitchen that also cooks wheat does not qualify at all.

Checked, not on the list
  • Kimbap Lab: Its own gluten-free page says the commissary kitchen is shared with gluten items and that a 100% gluten-free environment cannot be guaranteed. The menu is gluten-free; the premises are not.
  • Birria-Landia: The brand menu lists flour tortillas on the tacos, mulitas, and quesabirria, plus a flour burrito. The company also states its locations do not carry a gluten-free certification.
  • Little Choc Apothecary: Permanently closed in September 2023. Lella Alimentari took over the 141 Havemeyer Street space in 2024.
  • 7 Grain Army: Permanently closed at the end of October 2024 after a landlord eviction. It was the gluten-free bakeshop on Roebling Street.
  • Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery: Open at 102B Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint, but it bakes gluten and gluten-free goods on the same premises with a separate gluten-free menu. Vegan does not mean gluten-free.
  • Sobre Masa: The tortilleria is a real corn operation, but its own menu carries a puff-pastry dessert and beer, so wheat is on the premises. It is also in Bushwick rather than Williamsburg.
  • Java Fix: Opened on Richardson Street in December 2025, and its site describes a dedicated gluten-free and nut-free facility. We could not load that page directly or find any independent visit, and no certifying body is named, so we are holding it until we confirm with the shop.
  • Guadalupe Inn: Permanently closed. It ran an all-gluten-free kitchen at 1 Knickerbocker Avenue while it was open.
