Quesadillas and tacos on corn tortillas the kitchen nixtamalizes in house, plus a margarita. This is the rare taqueria where the whole food menu is fair game, crispy things included.

The entire kitchen runs gluten-free; the one exception in the building is the packaged beer list, since regular beer is brewed from barley, so drink margaritas or anything else and skip the bottles. There's a second location at 809 12th St NE if you're on the H Street side of town.

The everything bagel, boiled and baked the proper way, as a breakfast sandwich. Then whatever is warm: the case runs from cinnamon rolls to empanadas and changes through the day.

Rise was DC's first 100% gluten-free bakery, opened in 2014 by a founder who has had celiac disease since high school, and it anchors the city's gluten-free scene; even SEOULSPICE buys its desserts here. There's a second bakeshop in Sterling, VA, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
